Last night we had an talk by David Davies about Naval Dockyards and Sources.
He gave us a brief introduction to the history and organisation of the British Naval Dockyards and told us about the many different records we might find about our ancestors who worked in what was one of the largest industrial employers in Britain, if not the world.
A lot of records can be found at the TNA at Kew and a good place to start your search is with their research Guide here.
