Parish Registers

The Parish Church of Rugby is St Andrews and the Registers date from 1612.
The church of St Matthews was built in 1841 as a Chapel of Ease and Holy Trinity in 1854 (it was demolished in 1983)

Richard LINDON was the inventor of the rubber football bladder. He was a Rugby boot & shoemaker, whose shop was at 6 Laurence Sherriff Street, opposite Rugby School.
