Travelling to London

Travelling to London

Travelling to the TNA at Kew is best done by car. Remember to book a car park space before you go. For a car carrying four people a donation to the driver of around £12 for expenses seems about right.
For those with a Satnav the postcode is TW9 4DU.

Travelling to the other London Repositries is best done by train to Euston. Check the prices at www.londonmidland.com They have a 2 pay - 4 travel deal and if you pick the right train you can do it quite cheaply (about £15 per person). This includes London travel on tube or bus. See www.tfl.gov.uk/ for bus and tube maps.

LMA
Out of Euston station to Euston Square tube station. Travel east two stations to Farringdon. Turn right out of Farringdon station and right again into Farringdon Road. Cross Clerkenwell Road and turn right into Bowling Green Lane, then left into Northampton Road. LMA is on the right. (700m)
See detials here http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/Corporation/LGNL_Services/Leisure_and_culture/Records_and_archives/Visitor_information/

SOG
As for LMA but turn right into Clerkenwell Road. SOG is in a cul-de-sac at the end of this road. Barbican station is closer, up Goswell Road and left into Clerkenwell Road (500m)

The British Library is next door to Euston Station.
For more information see here http://portico.bl.uk/aboutus/quickinfo/loc/stp/index.html this also includes details of the Newspaper Libarary at Colindale.
